JARRETT KOTALIK - USA
VETERAN LOCATION ON
TRIBUTE WALL #10:
Row 4, Column 6
Jarrett Kotalik was born June 9, 2002 in Houston, Texas.
He was the second oldest of five children.
Jarrett grew up in The Woodlands. He was an Eagle Scout, like his three brothers and sister. Jarrett was active in service to our community and nation long before his departure for basic training.
In June of 2020 and on the day after his 18th birthday, his dream to "earn his parachutist wings" as a member of the 82nd Airborne became a reality. Just three short years later, he would earn his angel wings at his base in North Carolina.
Jarrett was an avid outdoorsman. He loved the Chicago Cubs, his furry companion "Duck", and hikes around National Battlefields with his dad and brothers. Jarrett always knew how to find the perfect spot around a pond to drop his line and he could build the perfect snofa during winter adventures. He shared his birthday with Donald Duck and treasured family vacations to Disney Parks. Jarrett loved all things related to military history. One of the honors that he earned during his active service was the Volunteer Service Medal following his support and work at the National Airborne and Special Operations Museum near his base.
Jarrett was so many things to his family- loyal brother, beloved son and grandson, and the "life of the party". Jarrett was his Mom's best shopping assistant, the shadow to his youngest brother in trail and road races, the hardworking "student" of his little sister, and confidante to his other brothers. Jarrett loved attending baseball games with his Dad. Jarrett shared many treasured road trips with his family to see much of the United States.
His smile and his love for his family will never be forgotten.
