Flowers on the Lake is an annual ceremony dedicated to honor those who have lost their lives to domestic violence and to raise awareness about the warning signs of abuse.

The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park welcomes the Montgomery County Fallen Firefighters’ Memorial Statue. It will be moving from The Lone Star Convention & Expo Center because we not only honor our Veterans, but also our First Responders.

Candidates Political Forum 2024
Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission is hosting the City of Conroe Candidate Political Forum at the Owen Theatre in downtown Conroe, from 6PM - 8PM. There will be a meet & greet from 6PM - 6:30PM before the forum begins. Come get to know the Candidates and how they stand on the current City of Conroe issues.

At 0900 HRS / 9:00 A.M. this November 11th, we will be celebrating all those who have Honorably Served this Great Nation. CAPTAIN SHERI A.HUMMER - U.S. Marine Corps, and Texas State Representative WILL METCALF, are featured speakers at this joyous event. There will also be musical performances, dedication of “THE LINE”, and Swearing in of New Recruits. All are invited to attend this free event to recognize the sacrifices and freedoms we have because of Our Veterans!
STANDING IN SOLIDARITY WITH ISRAEL
At 6pm on Wed. October 18th, we will be holding a small event as a showing of support for Israel and its people during this trying time. We will be joined by local law enforcement, first-responders, and hear from several guest speakers. We invite you to come out and stand with us in solidarity with Israel.

WWII B-17 Memorial Dedication
On Oct. 8th at 1300 Hours, the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission invites all to attend the Commemorative Air Force’s memorial ceremony for the “Texas Raiders” B-17 Flying Fortress and P-63 King Cobra that were lost last Nov. in Dallas, Texas. We will also be unveiling and dedicating our parks newest memorial monument. This monument will provide visitors a breathtaking look at a replica “Texas Raiders” B-17 along with video screens and interactive QR codes that provide a glimpse into the iconic plane’s history.
