On a drizzly gray morning next to the group's new visitors center under construction, the Montgomery County Veteran's Memorial Commission hosted an observance paying tribute to the lives lost 23 years ago in the 9/11 terror attacks. The members of the commission hosted a brief remembrance ceremony near the entrance to the veterans park. A live stream of the ceremony is on the commission's Facebook page.

Community residents, Montgomery County first responders, commission members and elected officials gathered to reflect on the tragic day in U.S. history.
