Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Pledge to the Texas Flag

Honor the Texas flag: I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.

US Flag Code

When the flag is in such a condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, it should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferable by burning.

Flag Presentation

It is prescribed that the flag to be retired from service, be burned by fire and returned to ashes. Once returned to the dust from which she was made, let a new flag fly, to testify to the strength of our Great Nation once again.
