On Oct. 8th at 1300 Hours, the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission invites all to attend the Commemorative Air Force’s memorial ceremony for the “Texas Raiders” B-17 Flying Fortress and P-63 King Cobra that were lost last Nov. in Dallas, Texas. We will also be unveiling and dedicating our parks newest memorial monument. This monument will provide visitors a breathtaking look at a replica “Texas Raiders” B-17 along with video screens and interactive QR codes that provide a glimpse into the iconic plane’s history.

The “Texas Raiders” was a treasure to all Americans along with every member of the Commemorative Air Force. Lost last Nov., our ceremony and monument will honor this incredible plane’s legacy.
